Smiles
is a wholesaler situated in Waterfall, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. For
the past 10 years we have been producing and marketing a range of beautiful
African gifts. Our vision is through craft work to enable people to express their creativity in a cottage industry environment and thereby generate an income that empowers both themselves and their communities. Our aim is to merge traditional skill with contemporary design and by assisting crafters to access markets we strive not only to keep traditional crafts alive but also to keep the craft dynamic and up to date with current trends. We currently employ approximately 25 women and 10 men who work in a number of mediums to produce a wide range of quality handmade gifts. Due to the nature of the mediums that we work with, many of our products can be customised to suit your needs whether to produce a product for your specific market or for promotional purposes. We supply retail outlets throughout South Africa and export to a number of countries. Our product range can be separated into two sections, namely the African gifts produced in South Africa and the imported handmade paper items and due to this our customers vary considerably. We are constantly bringing out new products so drop by often to keep up to date. |
